Essential Questions: How do people celebrate the New Year holiday in different parts of the world? Why is it important to be aware of common cultural beliefs, practices, and differences?
Student Action: In the coming days or weeks, try to learn about an upcoming holiday in the United States or in another culture. If possible, learn about this holiday from someone who observes it or for whom the holiday is a part of their culture.
