SEL Activity: Challenge a Stereotype

Activity: Stereotyping is a human tendency that we may not even be aware of. This SEL Activity invites students to reflect on why it is important to challenge stereotypes, and how they can start challenging them. Time: 30 minutes

Essential Questions: Why is it important to challenge stereotypes? How can we challenge stereotypes?

Student Action: Students practice identifying and challenging stereotypes. This can be difficult and often requires brave, honest, and compassionate actions.
